Once again Mike Starr had discovered an area of overgrown footpath near Upper
Lye off the Chapel Lawn Road. So on a warm summer's afternoon Mike, Beryl Geri and Graham set off for Upper Lye to tackle the problem armed with bow saws. shears and the all important brush cutter where a particularly overgrown path had thwarted walkers in the past.
We were soon into things as Mike cut a swathe through the thickly overgrown path like a whirling Dervish weilding the brushcutter kindly loaded by the Clun P3 group.

The scale of the task
becomes apparent | Mike hard at work with the brush cutter
vanishing into the distance |

Graham clears
up behind Mike | Probably not the most
flattering view of Mike at work |

Mike & Graham
add new waymarks | Beryl gives the cleared path
the once over quality check |
The weather was quite hot and the flies innumerable, but we got the job done in a few hours.
